An IIS directory entry couldn’t be created. The error message is Access is denied

Problem:

After installing Exchange 2010 into existing Exchange 2007 or, opening EMC and clicking on Client Access server under server configuration generates fallowing error “An IIS directory entry couldn’t be created. The error message is Access is denied”

Cause:

Exchange Trusted Subsystem Group is NOT a member of local administrator group in Exchange 2007.

Solution:

Add Exchange Trusted Subsystem Group into local administrators group in exchange 2007 server

After altering the local admin group on Exchange 2007, Go back to your exchange 2010 and issue fallowing command to see the virtual directories

Get-OwaVirtualDirectory
